THE STORY SO FAR...
CURRENTLY A REGULAR contributor to a wide range of national newspapers, supplements, consumer and customer magazines, it’s been a roller coaster journalistic adventure.
After a media and cultural studies degree at Liverpool John Moores University (essentially watching old films and pretending to understand post-structuralism) then a newspaper journalism postgraduate qualification in Preston (where I demonstrated a staggering ineptitude at shorthand) I earned my first front page with the ground-breaking, 'Furious Locals In Uproar Over Village Roundabout Plans') on Lancashire weekly The Ormskirk Advertiser.
Next up came the role of Press Officer on Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast, where my proudest moment - apart from chaperoning Pamela Anderson back to her limo after an impromptu 7am interview with Irish cloth puppets Zig and Zag - was doubling as a derriere-shaking Jarvis Cocker live on air the morning after he bared his backside in protest at Michael Jackson's 1995 Brit Awards performance.
From there I alternated between freelancing, travelling and editing a series of London lifestyle glossies before a spell covering first travel then stage and screen at Britain's leading text based service Teletext. Since becoming a dad six years ago I've been writing for anyone who'll pay me from the loft in E17.
